As I read the 31 passages about the Bible, the biggest, overarching message to receive is that the Bible IS God’s Word. It isn’t simply an interesting book of helpful hints.
Self-help books can be interesting and enlightening, but it’s important to note that the author is human, as we are, and there may or may not be points that are incorrect in it.
The Bible, the Word of GOD by definition has ZERO errors, guides us in the right way to go and the truth within the pages lasts forever. We can trust it. We read about that in Isaiah 55:6 – 11 & Psalm 19:7 – 10. How wonderful to know that we can read God’s Word any time of day on any subject and know that it is filled with the truth.
About 700 years before the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus, the book of Isaiah clearly told us that these life changing events would occur. The disciples remembered hearing about the prophesies after they had happened after believed. We read about many of these such “Wait a minute!” moments for the disciples in John 2:19 – 22, John 19:23, 24 & John 20:2 – 9. If God tells us that something WILL happen, we can hold onto that promise.
The most important message for every person is about how we can get to Heaven.
We read about these very simple, but life-altering steps in Romans 10:9, 10.
Since we know that there are no mistakes in the Bible and it is God’s Word, we can have complete peace from reading those verses.
What a wonderful Book. God speaks to us, directly and intimately telling us how to go to Heaven, how to have peace and be blessed.
We should read God’s Word daily, meditate on it and tell our friends about it.
