This Month's Focus:

Salvation

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10:9-10

Heaven. Everyone wants to go, but so many don't know if they are going. God wants us to go and tells us how in His Word, the Bible. If you want to know for sure that you're going, please read with us this month.

Reflections from April

The Promises of God

God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Numbers 23:19

We learned this past month that God promises to never leave us or abandon us. He is our rescuer. He's also called our refuge and our strength . David describes God as his Shepherd and as a result, he says he will not be in need.

God does promise to supply all of our needs. Not just now, but in the future. Jesus says He's going to prepare a place for us and that He's going to take us there to be with him.

But in the meantime, Jesus promises us peace. He said we shouldn't let our heart to be troubled or afraid. And there's even more comfort. God promises to have mercy on those who fear Him. He says he's removed our wrongdoings as far as the east is from the west. That's amazing! In Romans 8: 38-39 Paul assures us that nothing will be able to separate us from the love of God. Jesus describes us as His sheep. And He says no one is able to snatch us out of His hand or His Father's hand. He further says that He gives us eternal life, and we will never perish.

But what about out daily challenges? God promises that He will not allow us to be tempted above what we were able to handle, but He will with the temptation provide a way of escape. But what if you do mess up? I John 1: 6-9 says, . . . if we confess our sins God will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all righteousness.

Is God listening? He says if you come to Him,  pray to Him, and seek Him With all your heart, you will find Him. How encouraging are these promises?
