Commitment

January 2026

"Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship."

Romans 12:1

When I Said "Nope,It's All About Jesus!"

When I Said "NOPE", It's All About Jesus!

 By Key Osborne

When I Said “Nope… It is ALL About Jesus, Period.”

Commitment to Christ isn’t something we stumble into. It’s a decision, a bold defining moment where the heart stands up and says, “This is who I am now.”

For me, that moment sounded simple, but it shook my entire life:

There is a moment in every believer’s life when the cute, comfortable faith just isn’t enough anymore. When you stop treating Jesus like a weekend check-in and start treating Him like the CEO of your whole life. For me, that moment was when I said out loud; “I have decided to fully follow Jesus.”

And then I stamped it with a holy-girl attitude: “Nope. It’s ALL about Jesus, period.” Not in a halfway, Sunday morning only kind of way. Not in a when things are good, I’ll praise Him kind of way. I mean a real, surrender from the gut decision. A "Nope I’m done trying to run this on my own. It’s ALL about Jesus now." kind of decision.

And when I said it, I felt something shift.

That decision didn’t just shift my spirit.

It shifted my entire life, my peace, my relationships, my business, my blessings… EVERYTHING.

The day my, "Yes" to Jesus became a "No" to everything else was when I fully chose HIM and allowed HIM to choose my purpose.

See, I wasn’t just saying "Yes" to Jesus.

I was saying "No" to EVERYTHING that was draining me:

Nope, I’m not chasing validation anymore.

Nope, I’m not carrying burdens that God already asked me to surrender.

Nope, I refuse to live lukewarm.

Nope, I’m not doing chaos.

Nope, I’m not chasing people anymore.

Nope, I’m not moving without God’s direction.

Nope, I’m done settling for the bare minimum in my life and in faith.

That nope was the beginning of my freedom. Because saying no to the world finally gave me room to say yes to Jesus.

And once I shut those doors, God swung open the ones that were truly mine. One of those doors… was my BUSINESSES – you read that right plural. I didn’t create them. It wasn’t my idea. God planted these businesses in me. He whispered it, confirmed it, watered it, and breathed on it. My businesses are literally a God-given assignment dressed up as creativity.

God blessed my business, GGU, (Gods Gifts Used) in ways I couldn’t even script. I started praying bold prayers over my business: “God, make it grow. Send the right people. People who you want me to share your love with. Give me favor I don’t even qualify for.”

And let me tell you what! God did not hesitate! He sent connections I didn’t go looking for. People found me, referred me, supported me, opened doors for me.

Opportunities came that I couldn’t have arranged if I tried. Then came the wild part… I started winning things I wasn’t even supposed to win. Machines that cost over $1000. Tools for less than $1. Resources that I didn’t pay for. Stuff I didn’t apply for correctly or wasn’t even eligible for and yet God said, “It’s yours anyway.” That’s when I knew this wasn’t luck. This wasn’t coincidence. This was Favor. Kingdom favor. Daughter, I got you favor.

My business didn’t grow because I hustled harder. It grew because I surrendered harder. If it wasn’t pleasing God I wasn’t doing it. My Circle Shifted. My Confidence Shifted. My Vision Shifted. When you commit to Jesus for real, everything gets rearranged:

1. My mindset changed

No more operating out of fear or insecurity. I move like a woman who knows Heaven backs her.

2. My relationships changed

Some faded. Some strengthened. New ones appeared that spoke life into me. God removed distractions and added destiny connections.

3. My confidence grew

When you know Jesus approved you,

you stop needing people to validate you.

4. My purpose got clearer

I’m not just creating. I’m building something God is breathing on. Spreading Gods love through creativity. He created me to create for him… period!

5. I found joy again

Not the kind you fake. Not the posting for social media kind. A deep, quiet, steady joy, the kind that whispers, “Even on hard days, God is still good.”

Commitment isn’t cute… but it is powerful.

Saying “I follow Jesus” is easy. Living like you fully follow Jesus - that’s where the transformation happens.

Daily choosing prayer over panic.

Daily choosing obedience even when it’s inconvenient.

Daily choosing to put my business, my goals, my plans under God’s leadership.

Daily choosing to let go when God says, “Daughter, trust Me."

Commitment isn’t perfection. It’s consistency. It’s that church-girlie, urban-faith energy that says: “I’m God’s daughter, and I walk and talk like it. I don’t have to be enough because HE already is.”

And that revelation changed everything.

When I said “It’s all about Jesus” my whole life elevated.

My peace elevated.

My business elevated.

My opportunities elevated.

My boldness elevated.

My faith elevated.

And every time I think God is done surprising me. He drops something else on me like, “You thought that was AMAZING!! Watch Me work! My girl I ain’t done yet.” When I tell you Jesus doesn’t play about me!

So, yes, I decided to fully follow Jesus. But the truth is… Fully following Jesus is the best thing that ever happened to my business, my confidence, and my whole life.

No turning back.

No apology.

No hesitation.

Just commitment.

Nope, it’s ALL about Jesus. And because of that I’m all about purpose, growth, and God-given success.

You wanna see Gods blessings

FULLY COMMIT… period!!!

Committing My Thoughts

Committing My Thoughts to God in 2026

By Rachel F.

I'm fortunate that I don't struggle with pornography or anything else that controls the mind, but that doesn't mean I'm thinking the way God wants. If I do, God promises peace. Isaiah 26: 3 says, "You Keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You." English Standard Version

Thinking about God leads to peace. How can I do that this year? I already begin the day with significant prayer, followed by Bible study. But I think I've been making that God's time. When He needs to be in my thoughts all day long.

A pastor at our church talked about the importance of listening to Christian music. That's a great way to have Him in your heart during the day. I'll be honest I haven't been doing that except when driving in my car. That's something I'll incorporate in 2026.

Staying in touch with Christian friends during the day also helps. You can share what's on your hearts and pray for one another during the day.

We're also admonished to have the right kinds of thoughts. Philippians 4:8 says, "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatsoever is true, whatsoever is honorable, whatsoever is right, whatsoever is pure, whatsoever is lovely, whatsoever is commendable, if there be any excellence and if anything is worthy of praise, think about these things. New American Standard Bible

This is going to be a struggle for me, because I think about many negative things. I'm going to need to discipline my mind. But Philippians 4:8 is a command, so I'll just have to do it. And the benefits will be great! You can't help but be happier and more peaceful if you're thinking about honorable and lovely things.

2026 should be an awesome year!

If You Love Me, Keep My Commandments

If You Love Me, Keep My Commandments

By Leah Childers

I’m thankful for another day and another year to get closer to God.

Many of us have stopped making resolutions, but as we go through life we usually try to make adjustments & better decisions to improve our lives. Over the decades when friends would tell me their resolutions, usually somewhere in there would be a version of “I want to get closer to God.”

If that is one of your goals for the New Year, let me share this very powerful verse with you and a few others that have impacted my life.

John 14:15 says, “If you love me, keep my commandments”. This verse has only 7 words, but it says so much to us.

“IF you love me” tells us two important things:

1. We have a choice. God doesn’t make us robots that MUST love Him.

2. God wants to have a personal relationship with us – with YOU.

The Bible tells how we can begin a relationship with God. Jeremiah 29:13 says, “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye search for me with all your heart.”

It isn’t hard. God is saying, “I am right here. All you have to do is TRULY want a relationship with me.” Humans can choose to stay far away from Him, understand logically that there is some kind of God without doing anything about it, or we can choose to use our hearts and minds to actively seek to have a relationship with God. That phrase ALL YOUR HEART pops out to me in Jeremiah 29:13. God knows us. He knows our thoughts and our motives. He knows if we sincerely want HIM to be our Lord.

I grew up in church and always believed that there was a God. I even understood that He answered prayers, but there was a time when I had to stop and choose to change from simply understanding in my head that there was a God to wanting a personal relationship with him, choosing to obey Him and loving Him with all my heart. I learned that neither going to church nor singing in the choir made me His child. True to Jeremiah 29:13, when I sat down and sought Him with my whole heart, He was right there, not to judge me but to love me, forgive me, save me and change me.

  God LOVES us.

  God LOVES YOU!!

John 3:16 tells us the depth of His love. God sent Jesus, His only begotten Son, to DIE in our place. IF we believe that Jesus died for our sins, rose from the dead and we ask Him to be our Lord and Savior, we are guaranteed an eternity with Him. This is the only way to Heaven. The Bible tells us in John 14:6, “Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh to the Father, but by me.”

We may think “But I have done really REALLY awful things.” The Bible assures us that God knows all about that. He loved us then and loves us now. There is nothing we can do that is so bad that it changes. What an amazing God. Yes, He is the God who made the oceans, the birds, and every human being, but He is also a personal God who knows YOU, loves you dearly and wants you to know and love Him.

Let’s talk about the second part of our verse, “IF you love me,

keep my commandments.”

What stops us from being obedient to God? We come up with variations of, “Maybe I’ll miss out on something fun.” Or “I actually LIKE this thing that God calls a sin. I don’t want to give it up.”

Here is how I explain COMPLETELY trusting God.

Have you ever opened a box with multiple pieces in it and you had to read the instructions to put it together? When I follow the instructions to the letter, things go well. Have you ever stopped reading the manual because it appeared to be very “obvious” as to the next steps only to go back and try to fix the problem caused by not following the manual? The manufacturer knows his/her product inside out. He knows the shortcomings and warns us not to do things that will “mess the product up.” We can actually break our product by not following the instructions.

That’s true about the Bible and our lives. God is our manufacturer. He loves us MOST and wants the best for us. Since He is God (and we are not) He knows what we don’t. He knows the outcome if we do what He says (the right thing) or if we do our own thing (the wrong thing). He knows the blessing that is right around the corner. Sometimes we miss the blessing because we took a shortcut or made a U-turn.

He knows what will give us peace and how we will be the best version of ourselves.

There have been too many times when I knew exactly what God said to do, but my brain said, “Go ahead and do it your way. It will be alright.” I can’t tell you how many times things have blown up in my face for being stubborn. In His Word, God tells me to forgive those who have been unkind to me. When I’ve responded the wrong way, God isn’t pleased, I’m miserable and things don’t end well. The Bible says in Ephesians 4:30 that we can grieve the Holy Spirit of God. That is a powerful thought. We NEVER want to hurt those we love, do we? It’s so beautiful that when I mess up, my heart is broken, I tell God that I'm sorry and He lovingly forgives me. (I John 1:9).

We must remember that God’s plans are for our good. Therefore, we can trust God completely. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” He also promises us in Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.” Everything He tells us to do is for OUR good.

Since God can be trusted with our eternity, He can be trusted with our every day lives. Because we can trust Him, we can follow His commandments. He has done so much for us that it is not too much for Him to ask us to obey him.

Romans 12:1, 2.

Have you made the decision to ask Jesus to be your Lord and Savior? Are you ready to start the New Year off right by putting Jesus first?

  Pray something like this:

Dear Lord, I admit that I’m a sinner and I need a Savior. Thank you for sending your Son, Jesus, to die in my place. I believe that Jesus died and rose from the dead. I ask you to save me. I give my heart and my life to you. I will follow you. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

If you have prayed that prayer and meant it in your heart, your life and your eternity are now secure. Congratulations. You are a Child of God. What a way to begin the New Year!

You’ll want to read your Bible. Our instruction manual helps us to grow, learn more about God and learn what He is calling us to do.

Praying is very important. Praying is talking to God and telling Him what is on your heart. He is your Heavenly Father. He wants to hear from you.

God doesn’t want you to be alone in your journey with him. That’s where a good Bible teaching church comes in. You will learn more about God and meet other followers of Jesus. Pray that God will direct you to the right church.

God tells us to get baptized which is an outward sign of your obedience to Him. Your church will help you with that.

Be sure to let others know about your wonderful decision.

Jesus said “If you love me, keep my commandments.”

My answer is - "Yes, Lord. I am all in."

If you made a decision to follow God or to rededicate your life to Him, please send an email to me at aDailyWord@proton.me

I’d love to hear from you.

God bless you.

Commitment

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Romans 12:1-2

In January, we read about COMMITTMENT.
Another way to describe it is, "I'm ALL in!".

After reading January's Daily Word verses, we can conclude that to live our very best life we should simply follow what our Heavenly Father, our Creator, has told us to do.

Jesus gave His LIFE for us to have everlasting life. That is the ultimate sacrifice. What love!
Because of His sacrifice, the Lord tells us to follow Him with all that is within us. It's our reasonable service. (Romans 12:1, 2). We're also told that IF we love Him that we will obey Him. John 14:15.

In Jeremiah 29:11, 12 we are comforted in learning that God has the best plans possible for us. The plans are definitely not to harm us, but to bless us.

The enemy wants us to get distracted when we go through rough times. God knows that can happen to at times, so we're told in Galatians 6:9,10 not to get tired of doing the right thing. Based on this Scripture we know that we WILL reap a harvest of blessings in God's timing if we don't give up.

Lastly, in another encouraging passage, Jeremiah 7:7,8 God tells us to hope and trust in God and we will be blessed.

The more we read, believe, obey and apply God's truths to our hearts we will be rooted and grounded. No matter what happens we will have more peace. We won't be shaken.
What a blessing.

Yes, Lord. I'm committed. I'm ALL in.
