There were moments in my life where the decisions I faced could have destroyed me. I didn’t always understand what God was doing, but His wisdom covered me and protected me. His grace and wisdom saved my life, and I know that same wisdom will save yours as well.
God is so faithful, and just the thought of His incredible goodness brings me so much joy. Seek wisdom. Let wisdom fall from your lips like honey, or let it be the quiet peace in the storm that carries you when everything feels overwhelming.
“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.” James 1:5
Wisdom is a beautiful and divine gift from God. It’s the gift of sound judgment and discernment, characterized by applying knowledge and understanding to live according to His will. Wisdom keeps us away from sin and on the narrow path. It helps us appreciate prayer and connection with God, guides our relationships, shapes our decisions, and strengthens us as women of God. God’s Word promises that when we ask for wisdom, He will give it to us freely. That means God is faithful and full of grace.
Wisdom Brings Freedom
I will not live in a mindset of captivity. I will not live a life of guilt and shame. There is no condemnation. Wisdom teaches me that all is well in Jesus Christ.
Wisdom Strengthens Our Faith
I will not lose focus or be discouraged. I will be encouraged because I serve a God that nothing and no one else can ever compare to. Wisdom reminds me that even when life feels too heavy, God is holding it all together.
Wisdom Reveals God’s Love
God’s love is consistent. God’s love is overwhelming. God’s love is purposeful and intimate. God’s love is mind-blowing! Wisdom helps me see His love in every detail of my life, from the number of hairs on my head to the prayers I whisper in the dark.
Wisdom Brings Peace
“But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.” (James 3:17)
Wisdom is peace. It helps us be open to reason. When emotions are high, wisdom helps us redirect and put God first. Wisdom is full of mercy, reminding us that God Himself is merciful.
Wisdom Teaches Us to Stand
When it feels like too much, I pray. When it feels like too much, I worship. When it feels like too much, I put on the full armor of Christ and I STAND. Wisdom teaches me that I am not meant to carry what’s not mine. I release the weight. I let it go. I am not carrying what Jesus already took to the cross.

The benefits of wisdom are endless. It gives us clarity in confusion, strength in weakness, and freedom from the chains of shame. It fills us with unspeakable joy, peace that surpasses all understanding, and the courage to stand when we feel like falling apart.
Wisdom is knowing who we are in Christ: fearfully and wonderfully made, chosen, sealed, and loved. It is living with the assurance that no matter what comes, all is well.
